The Creative World of Christine Graves

Working on a Miracle

Posted on 09/22/2024 By Christine Graves

Well, it’s that time again when I make a lot of lame excuses for not updating this site for so long. Okay, no excuses. But I have been busy.

I’ve been writing pretty steadily on my Medium publications. I’m having a blast over there and am keeping myself writing fairly regularly. I’m also working on my first full novel, though that’s going rather slowly. But it should be well worth it.

I’ve also started a short-story series that I’ll be publishing through Amazon’s 30-Minute Reads section. I’ve got the first installment just about ready to go and am working on the second. I’ve got the whole thing pretty much planned out, but I let my characters tell me their stories as I write. It even surprises me sometimes.

Another thing I’ve been doing lately is creating a lot of paper craft items. I’ve made mini journals, gift tags, junk journal pages, and a lot more. I got a little frustrated with that but might give it another shot. I’m working on reopening an old online store I’d forgotten I had. It’s called Prairied Treasures and it’s through a platform called Bonanza.

I have an Etsy store, but I haven’t had much luck with it. Then again, I haven’t done much as far as advertising it either. I’ll be working on that before long as well. I have a plan. Not saying it’s a good plan, but it’s a plan.

So, today, I’ve done nothing but update old blogs, clean up a few sites I forgot I had, and researched different ways to monetize my blogs. Yea, I won’t lie. If I can find a way to make a buck from my computer, that’s at least somewhat moral, I’m gonna give it a shot.

That being said, I also promise to have all those ads floating all over and blocking out half of the article. I hate that. You don’t go to a blog to see all the ads, you go to read the stories.

I’ve got a lot going on these days, but I’m very much enjoying myself. I’m done beating myself up and saying “I can’t do this.” It’s high time I start telling myself, “I have to try this.” I’ll keep you posted on how it goes.

Until next time,
Stay creative!!!
