One Day at a Time

I’m trying to make sure to write something every day. If I’m going to make this work, I have remember to go slow and write each day. So what do we talk about today? Let’s see. How about talking about what I’ve been doing in the past year.

Growing up, I used to watch my grandmother crochet for hours. I’d watch her hands and thought they were magical. But no matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t crochet anything more than a chain. I sucked.

A few years back, I decided to check out YouTube and found a bunch of videos on how to crochet and I was hooked (no pun intended). I spent countless hours watching tutorials on how to do diffeerent stitches, different patterns, and even learned how to read a pattern just by looking at the various dots and dashes on the picture. Now I can pretty much crochet anything I have a pattern for, and in some cases, I can modify them to work better for my needs.

Now that I’m trying to write again, I may use that to my advantage and write about crocheting sites, videos, and things I’d like to try. If for nothing else than to have something to write about. So we’ll see where it goes from here.
