Creating Success From Failure

So as you can tell, my experiment with a daily prompt post isn’t going well. But I’m not going to let that stop me from continuing on. I just have to revamp my first attempt and figure out how to keep going forward. I know I can do this, I just have to find what works. I’ve already figured out what doesn’t work.

My problem was that I quickly realized that in order to do a daily prompt post, I was limiting myself to only doing those. I don’t want to do that. So, I’m thinking of doing a full set of prompts, but only posting them once a week and finding something else to do the rest of the time. I’m still thinking about doing a Thursday Throw Down, but it won’t be part of the writing prompts. I also want to do some book reviews again and need to be able to do that on just about any day I want.

There’s an old saying that failure is NOT an option. However, I believe that failure is necessary in order to succeed. You can either choose to let failure beat you, or you can let it teach you to be better than you were before. When you learn from your mistakes, you grow as a writer and a human being.

So here’s to the future, the failures, and to ultimate success. I refuse to give up and that’s the one lesson I’ve learned over the years that I will take with me for many more to come.
